Valley of Spring

Just above the ground, the light of the setting sun softens the carpet of greenery. The isolated tree plants its ball of foliage into the earth. The fluidity of the large format photo further softens the undulating surface. The clean breaks isolate trees from their surroundings. The elongated shadow rests momentarily on the ground. Tranquility and warmth hanging in the air at the end of a spring afternoon.

Is this a Polaroid transfer?

Christian_creutz

I used a Polaroid film named 55. A description from the Polaroid Company : Professional B&W Sheet Film 4×5 inch. Extremely high-resolution positive/negative film for finely detailed black and white prints (and negatives). Medium-speed and contrast, produces instant print and negative.
It produced an instant 4×5 inch print AND a negative I could use for large prints.
This film is not produced anymore.

Does this mean you couldn’t take a photo like this any more?

Christian_creutz

Yes, absolutely. But using todays technology, I could take a different photo, not worse, not better, just different.
