Stretch was created for Sculpturefest 2000. This installation featured a rope course set up with cross bamboo poles from which were suspended porcelain spheres which contained gold lustre fired ceramic shell forms.
When a person mastered this course they were able to Stretch out without falling and reach into the vessels and retrieve a golden shell. Occasionally young adults (who recall the piece from their younger years) will ask if it is still here. Very popular interactive installation!!

One of the perks of membership is that you get to post comments on objects, museums, and other member's walls. (Though some users have chosen to restrict access to their personal walls - in which case you'll have to friend them before you can post to their wall.)
Anybody can register - though you do have to be at least thirteen or older and have a working email address.
It doesn't cost anything to register. Just sign up and you'll be an insider in no time flat.
