Call it post-Irene depression, but my new paintings are all dark and wet, dealing with decomposition, as in these manure striated fields. There is a small glimmer of sunlight streaking across, offering a little hope.

Thanks, Scott. I like to change my approach to painting ever so often. I don’t know what will trigger a change, going to a museum or a friend’s studio, or picking up an art book, or in this case, finding myself in this field as the sun was setting.
