Welcome Carlson! Glad you’re on here and good to see the work. I like the way the planes establish themselves then flatten out and how the color initially seems to make the space and then drops back behind the picture plane with the red and green and in other places the color asserts the space like with the turquoise.

Good to be here, loving the layer system offered and excited to explore that more. I think I’ll be showing this work at the upcoming show at the Torrance Art Museum

Within this new series I’m paneling 4 sheets of 30″ × 44″ paper which are each individually framed and slightly spaced. I’m interested in pushing the fragmentation that is already very present within my work by physically separating the image.
