i do like your recurring theme in all of these — perhaps I am imagining it. I see melancholy in all of your paintings. These small works, as you call them, do not seem as mathmatical or well-mannered as your boulevard paintings. It seems you have a joyful preoccupation for painting those overlooked (or repulsive) objects or places that most of us cannot redeem.
Eating the painting itself might be only slightly worse for you. Actually they are fun to paint, though, I’m drawn to them and repulsed at the same time…
