I was feeling miserable. In the middle of winter we had gone on a vacation to the wrong place: a resort hotel in Scottsdale, Arizona. It was chilly. Golf courses everywhere and I don’t play golf. And I woke up with a terrible cold.
I thought I might feel better if I got a massage. Lying prone on the massage table with my face in the head rest unable to breath through my nose which was dripping onto the floor I felt worse and worse. I was feeling old and sorry for myself. I thought of stopping the massage in the middle. Suddenly the words “lost, finished, kaput” occurred to me and everything changed. What a great name for new box. I smiled. I was happy and by the time the massage was over the piece was almost complete. All I had to do was go home and spend two months building it.
