If one has a desire to place the National Monument to the U.S. Constitution at a site, they should contact The American Constitution spirit Foundation in Richmond, VA 800-476-8368
The Triumphal Arch is how Maximillian envisioned his political-religious synthesis of power. Note the unisexuality signified by the design is also a synthesis; thus human unisexuality and the political-religious synthesis constitute a power paradigm, which Sandow Birk re-constitutes in his “Monument to the Constitution of the United States”—itself a signification as to how the U.S. is constituted as a monumental monument (akin to Ozimandias).
Sandow Birk must be the most prolific serious artist working in the world today…and one of the best.
i love the tone- laughed at finding Cheney, but then felt a little bad about laughing. A bit of R. Crumb mixed in there with the Dürer and Bruegel.
There are no definite dates to put the drawing on display just yet. There is talk of putting together an exhibition with it for 2011.
Lucky me. I live in OC, so it isn’t too far. I look forward to seeing it. Sounds like an interesting show.
This drawing is actually in a show right now at USC, called “Darkwave”. Its a group show about the darker sides of surfing in Los Angeles.
can you tell me how long that drawing will be viewable? I will be in LA only after Aug 8th will it still be up
I love it!
Judith
Actually, the show at USC ended last weekend, so the drawing will be moving to my gallery in Los Angeles, Koplin del Rio Gallery.
Now that is eerie…will these new drawings be in an upcoming show to see in the live?
