Throughout May 26th, the Howe Library is hosting an art exhibit of works completed by CraftStudies students. The exhibition will include two perspectives of classes at the Hanover League of NH Craftsmen and include work created by both adults and children. The adult exhibit, “Bridges: Two Artists, Three Media,” features work created by Jere Nelson and Sandra Seymour, both of whom have worked in multiple studios at the Hanover League including the metals studio, clay studio and mixed media. Their work demonstrates the influence that one studio can have on another studio and the artist’s resulting creativity.

The children’s exhibit, “Creative Problem Solvers: The next Generation II,” features work done in all three studios by young people from the local community, ranging in ages from 5 to 17. The intent behind this exhibit is to share the creativity and exuberance that pours out of the teaching studios every day. On an average, one out of 100 young people who come to CraftStudies to take classes in our studios, whether in Pottery, Metals, or Mixed Media, become professional artist/craftspeople. 100% will take the creative problem solving skills they have honed in these studios and apply them to their professional and personal lives. These skills are the basis for greatness in any profession!
