These works are not intended to represent the work done each year. They are not necessarily the largest but I suppose they are favourites of mine. Having said this, they may not be the MOST favourite of mine. For some of the years the choice was difficult because of the sheer output for those years and the number of successful or favourite paintings from those years.
I was inspired to do this from thinking about the seemingly prolific output of some artists I know and I needed to examine my own output. I think I too have been quite productive; this small number is a small fraction of my 25+ year’s output. I have tried to record all my work but quite a number slipped out and will probably remain just memories (unless I can contact the various owners, which isn’t easy). Then there was a period of two years when I only photographed on large format transparency and haven’t yet found a way of scanning these images.
The quality of the images up to 2006 isn’t high. It was only from the summer of that year that I began using digital technology.
