Tracy Gillespie was born in San Jose, California in 1971. She grew up in Pennsylvania, Maryland, and Germany. She studied printmaking in high school and college graduating from The Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington in 1993 with a B.A. in Liberal Arts. After moving to Vermont in 1998, she joined Two Rivers Print Studio in White River Junction for several years where she took classes and developed her work. She loves to share printmaking with others, most recently teaching a class for children at the Vershare camp in 2009. She currently prints at home with friends at her kitchen table.
Her work is inspired by the seasons, songs and festivals of the year. The designs are cut from wood or vinyl, colored and printed by hand with water-based inks on acid free paper.
